The sad part of wanting your own business so badly, is that you might be
victim of  a scam.

What is a scam?
They seem like a legitimate business, offering riches if you work hard. But,
don't be fooled. A real job doesn't ask for money. A real business makes
money from what you do, not from you "buying" a job from them.
Here are some signs that might tip you off to it being a scam:
- Big money over night.
- No experience necessary.
-Work only a couple of hours a week.
-Guaranteed income level (1500 a week)
There are a lot of real jobs out there without having to pay for them. A real
business will take time and hard work to build your way up to success.
Some scams that people fall for:
Envelope stuffing- They promise for a fee, you will discover the secrets of
many 1000's of dollars stuffing envelopes. They say it wont cost you anything
to place an ad in a magazine or paper. You will be out alot of money and
nothing to show for it.
Craft assembly- They really make this one sound legit. All you have to do is
assemble crafts for them and they pay you. Who cant do that? wrong. You'll
never see a dime from these crooks. They only pay you when you send
acceptable work. You never will in their eyes. They make money from you
buying their supplies and you'll spend your time resending your unacceptable
work-and losing your money!
Compiling  mailing lists- You have to pay for your information on how to
compile your lists. Already, they have made money off of you and the
onformation you get is worthless. You need to run an ad to get people. First
of all, your ad will cost you probably $30-$50 to run it. Now, you might get
paid .10 a name but, the amount of peple that you might get won't ad up to
what you have to spend in advertising. Youre out of money and they havent
spent a dime to get their names-that they will use to scam like they did you!
Scams will stay as long as we let them. Hopefully some day, they will finally
disappear, but probably not in the near future. So, look out for them and if
you do spot one, report it to the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and try to
put as many as we can out of business!
